Rather than a list of recommendations, this article is more of a personal reflection on my experience with the true crime genre. 1. I think the genre has had a major success story in the past decade or so! I have read In Cold Blood but I wasn’t very keen on the writing style. I thought it was a bit over the top and poetic given the dark subject matter. I much preferred the matter of fact Helter Skelter by Vincent Bugliosi and Curt Gentry which is fascinating and highly recommended! 📚❤️ X x x
